Mercedes Shows off its New Trio of Compact Premium Cars
This month sees the first deliveries of the new redesigned A Class Hatchback with an Estate version (or shooting brake as Mercedes prefer to call it) to be added later this year, but it won’t stop there, Mercedes has built up momentum in new design in recent years and they have big plans for the small car market.

They are set to further bolster the compact division in 2013 with the amazing sporty CLA a compact saloon and later with the GLA compact off roader. The inspiration behind the range is to attract the young, design and style conscious audience. An audience that beforehand would not have initially thought of a Mercedes as an achievable acquisition. Mercedes Lease division have worked some amazing affordable monthly figures to make it a realistic option for many young drivers. Add to that the low Insurance group and these new sleek stylish cars are easily a wise choice for the young professional looking for a new car lease.
The CLA is a more compact version of the beautiful CLS, or a little brother if you like, and it is sure to contend with the Audi A3 Sport and the BMW 1-series. It borrows heavily from the CLS design which is apparent when you see them together.

The CLA features COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST as a standard. This is a radar braking system which is able to warn the driver of possible collisions and anticipate the required braking force when the driver applies pressure to the brake pedal. The CLA will as expected come with all the refinement and style we’ve come to expect from Mercedes and is set to be available with Executive and AMG packs. To further enhance its already elegant looks.

This is sure to be popular within the Company car lease market.
Completing this trio of new compact “Baby Benz” is the GLA SUV. The Junior Cross-over is set to compete with the BMW X1 and the AUDI Q3. To give you an idea of the size of the GLA it is only slightly longer and lower than the Range Rover Evoque. Mercedes are also have designs for a sporty two door model. The GLA will be available in front wheel and new all wheel drive.
