Audi has recently taken a tin opener to its RS5 Coupe. Mechanically it is identical, only now it’ll put the wind through your hair with its soft-top roof which will disappear within 15 seconds whilst still being able to drive at speeds up to 31mph.
Folding the roof away does lose you 60 litres of the boot space but that will still leave you with 320 litres even when it is folded down. Besides it’s the full voiced, powerful engine that we’d rather listen to, as would most.
Performance wise, the drivetrain is no different to the hardtop RS5. With 444bhp from its 4.2-litre V8 which feeds power to all four wheels, it is only marginally slower than the Coupe. In fact from 0-62mph, it’s only 0.4 seconds slower, barely even noticeable.
