Range Rover has a new rival – the next-generation Mercedes M-Class. Mercedes has confirmed that the luxury 4x4 features a range of efficient engines, a roomier interior and a host of new electronic gadgets.

Some styling cues are clearly taken from the firm’s saloon line-up, including the sculpted door panels, recognisable from the latest CLS, plus a swept back headlight design and wide chrome grille borrowed from the CL.

Although the wheelbase is the same as it's predecessor, the new M-Class is longer, wider and lower than previous, freeing up more space in the five-seater cabin...

It’s been 30 years since the last GTS and now Volkswagen have launched a tribute at the Auto Mobil show in Leipzig, Germany with their Special Edition Volkswagen Scirocco GTS.

Black and red stripes run along the boot, roof and bonnet, evoking memories of the racing cars from the 70’s and 80’s, whilst the bodykit features unique front and rear bumpers and chunkier side sills. 18-inch ‘Thunder’ alloy wheels, roof spoiler, rear diffuser and red wing mirrors taken directly from the Scirocco R throw in extra aggression to the design of VW’s coupe hatch...

The Mercedes SL still keeps the beautifully classic roadster proportions of its ancestors: the long, sleek bonnet and a cabin situated towards the rear of the cars length are hallmarks of the model. The newly styled headlights and grille give it a striking and artistic front end which improves on the ham-handed styling of the post-facelift outgoing version. The rear end somewhat lacks definition however, with the large rear deck now flowing into a more melted rear body. It’s a moderately subtle looking car, particularly when compared to its more pretentious competition – something which will appeal to many buyers...

The C63 is the prestige of the C-Class range, with a 6.2-litre V8 engine, specifically tuned suspension and more muscular styling. It's as spectacular to look at as it is to drive, and in terms of performance it's up there with the all stars...

The original Mazda6, the second-generation car launched in 2007 and the face lifted 2010 version look striking in their diverse ways. The latest 6 is handsome and sharp-looking, and distinctive from anything else on the road. Every car in the range, apart from the entry-level S, has a rear spoiler, which improves the looks but obstructs the rear visibility...

In our honest opinion, the Alfa Romeo Mito is quite possibly the best looking supermini that has been made to date. Taking its inspiration from the Alfa Romeo 8C supercar, the hot MiTo keeps the same striking teardrop front headlights and circular tail lamps as the standard car. At the nose the petite triangular grille sets it apart from the competition and screams its Italian thoroughbred identity at you. It’s a delicate shape, which Alfa Romeo always seem to deliver more than any other. More works of art than car. Traditional Alfa Cloverleaf badges on the front wings, 17-inch alloy wheels and twin exhaust tips nod to its enhanced performance.

There’s design flair here, from the attractive three-spoke steering wheel to the carbon fibre effect dashboard. There are racey white dials with

It may have four doors, but as its name suggests, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé has a profile that’s very much coupé rather than a saloon. Forward of the windscreen its standard 6 Series, but the roof line from this point is completely different thanks to the addition of an extra pair of doors. Not only is the Gran Coupé 23mm taller than the standard two-door coupé, but the wheelbase is also 113mm longer, which gives the four-door edition an even sleeker look. With even the smallest standard wheels being 18 inches in diameter, plus a very strapping stance thanks to the extended wings over the wheel arches, the Gran Coupe looks every bit as sporty as you’d expect...

The Peugeot 207CC is the successor to the great 206CC and it follows in some mighty footsteps. As with the 206CC it is a great looking Cabriolet. From the tip of the front bumper, back to the windscreen pillars, you’d be hard pressed to tell the CC from the hatchback, or SW estate; but however, the rest of the bodywork is bespoke to the roofless version. The phrase coupe-cabriolet suits the 207 CC more than most of its rivals, with a rakish, sleek appearance with the roof up, and a low-slung look with it down.

Like the exterior, the cabin is well designed and easily and immediately identifiable as a Peugeot. There’s a sporty...

It’s often said that black goes with everything and never goes out of fashion. That said, there’s always some fashion gurus on TV dressed like they work at the circus, opting for fluorescent pinks and yellows and proclaiming this to be the new black of the season! But staying true to form, the colour black still soldiers on. Audi is hoping to tap into blacks’ firm reputation with the new special Black Edition versions of its A3...

A German company such as BMW tend to do a lot of things for fun, but still, with that being said, here in the First Call Leasing office it was still a surprise to see the pictures of the BMW Zagato Concept. This was born from the amalgamation of BMW and the Italian design house Zagato...
