Citroen was founded in 1919 by French industrialist André-Gustave Citroën. They were the first mass-production car company outside of the USA and pioneered the modern concept of a sales and services network that compliments the motor car.
By 1927, in just eight-years Citroen became Europe’s largest car manufacturer and was the 4th largest in the world. André Citroen was a keen marketer and used the Eiffel Tower, between 1925-1934, to serve as the world’s largest advertising billboard sign (CLICK HERE FOR PHOTO), which managed to gain them entry into the Guinness Book of Records.
In 1934 Citroen created the world’s first mass-produced front-wheel drive car with the Traction Avant but it was also one of the first cars to feature a monocoque-type body, a construction technique that supports structural load by using an object's external skin.
On 2009, Citroen celebrated its 90th Anniversary and below you will see a list of the latest models from Citroen, which are available for business or personal car leasing.
