A brief History of Honda

Honda have been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959, as well as also being the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines (measured by volume), producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines a year.


Honda was also the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to release a brand dedicated to luxury with its Acura brand in 1986. Honda has also been involved with artificial intelligence/robotics research and released their ASIMO robot in 2000. 


Since this point Honda have also ventured into aerospace with the establishment of Honda Aero Engines in 2004 whilst still creating some of the worlds most popular motorbikes and automobiles.
